Serena Alice Walter

  General Notes:

Serena grew to womanhood on the same family farm of her birth and attended the Beatty School near Coatsville, Missouri. She lived with her parents for many years, then made her home with her brother Joe and his wife "Sade" on the Walter farm. Her main interest in life was her devotion to family and the home.

Serena maintained scrapbooks about relatives in the Dean, Haigler, and Walter families and much of that information was vital in the preparation of this genealogy. She possessed a wonderful sense of humor and put much energy and perseverance into her work.

Serena continued to live on the Walter farm until her health failed and she was moved to the Putnam County nursing home in Unionville, Missouri. She was the last surviving member of her family before her death.
